About the Artist
London Wilde is an Asian influenced Contemporary Mixed Media Artist working in mostly acrylic paint and ink.
London began classic oil painting at age 7, and studied traditional European techniques, which form the basis of her contemporary approach to creating art. London’s work often incorporates Chinese symbolism and calligraphy, using nature and symbolism to connect our thoughts and spirituality with the visual world.
London signs her work using her chosen Chinese name, Wèi Lúndūn 卫 伦敦 which translated in English means to guard, protect and defend honest human relations.
Born in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a Coastal region of Northern California, London spent her youth among the ancient Redwoods, or at the beach observing the wildlife there. London has traveled to Europe, Africa, and China, soaking in art forms from around the world. She is now living in Texas on a 5 acre forest with her husband and 2 Borzoi dogs, where her home studio is located.
