This was painted using traditional Sumi Ink, Gold Chinese Ink, Oil Pastels and Acrylic Pen on Archival Quality Black paper. Comes unframed and ships rolled in a protective cardboard tube. A great opportunity to start collecting my work at a very affordable price!
Part of the Painting a Day Series
As part of my therapy recovering from a stroke I had in early April 2024, I began sitting at a small drafting desk overlooking the backyard to draw and paint on a smaller scale. I rediscovered my love for Sumi and Chinese Ink on paper, making things simple. My goal was to not spend too much time over thinking, and just let things flow naturally. I didn't worry about flaws and small imperfections in this work, as it was an exercise to try and accept my own flaws as just part of who I am. I hope you enjoy the simple charm of this series!
